July 2nd, 2009 Posted by: Senorita Queso Tronca
The Voodoo Music festival was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and is probably one of the largest music festivals in existence. Since 1999 Voodoo has taken the south by storm, with amazing bands and artists. The Voodoo Music Experience is often scheduled for the last weekend of October and happens to be on Halloween this year!
This festival has grown to become one of the biggest and baddest American music festivals. Located at New Orleans City Park, there will be plenty of space for the thousands of music fans who plan on attending on October 30th through November 1st of this year. In 2008 over 130,000 hardcore fans were in attendance!
Voodoo Music Experience New Orleans City Park is owned the non-profit organization City Park Improvement Association (CPIA). The location is very close to the French Quarter and other Louisiana icons. This venue, also receives funding from the City of New Orleans.
Major headliner Eminem said you will only be able to see him at Voodoo Festival this year. He has not scheduled any other performances in 2009. Voodoo is rain or shine, if it does rain ponchos and blankets are allowed. Personal cameras are allowed.
You can purchase concert tickets for 1 day of Voodoo, or go all out with exclusive 3 day festival passes. VIP tickets are going fast and start around $475. Keep in mind, ticket prices will increase as the festival approaches. This is very common for larger festivals of this kind.
