Thanks for bringing me aboard!

April 3rd, 2008 Posted by: Dust Devil

Hello, the name is the Dust Devil and thanks to The Ticket Guy for bringing me on board! I hail from the great city andĀ state of Phoenix, AZ and am here to offer a fresh perspective on tickets, music, sports and what not. Music is by far my bread and butter.

I have been to a ton of shows in my day, from The Ramones and Black Flag at the Palace West, to Echo and the Bunnymen at Mesa Amphitheatre, to Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax and Alice in Chains at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, to James Galway at the Phoenix Symphony.

Plain and simple, if an artist creates music that isn’t trendy, is full of hooks and moves me, and if the artist can actually PLAY, I will go see them live. I would rather be at a show than just about anything else as far as my social time, because I get the opportunity to watch someone do something I simply can’t, and watch them do it well!

So, hereĀ are the Dust Devil’s first picks for shows in April you HAVE to see:

Ra Ra Riot at The Modified, Sunday, April 6. Eclectic indie rock band that incorporates violins and cellos into their music. I caught them at the Monolith Festival at Red Rocks last year and they SMOKED.

If you have never seen a show at The Modified, go. Now. Seriously, support Kimber and this great venue!

Rogue Wave at the Rhythm Room, Thursday, April 24. Touring in support of their third disc, Zach Rogue and company combine great harmonies, great vocals and throw in tons of pop hooks.

More to come music wise and we have LOTS to discuss in terms of the Dbacks and the Suns. Go ASU baseball!
