Summer Event Highlight - MLB All Star Game and More

June 12th, 2009 Posted by: The Ticket Guy

So you’ve got the whole family together. The kids are red-eyed from swimming all day, hungry and itching for something to do to get out of the house for a bit. Let’s take a look at some family fun and see if we can’t get the whole famn-damily out for an exciting excursion.

For those of you near or traveling through good ol’ Saint Louy this summer, you might want to notch off July 10-14 for 2009 MLB All-Star Game festivities. The Fanfest is open all weekend and includes an interactive theme park. Billed as “The Largest Interactive Spectacular in the World,” the MLB All-Star Fanfest is open daily at 9:00AM from Friday, July 9 - Tuesday, July 14 at Americas Center located at 701 Convention Plaza, St. Louis, MO 63101. Drop by for interactive games, exhibits, free autograph sessions, Major League Clinics, seminars, memorabilia and much, much more.

All-Star Sunday will be held on July 12 and features a 5k run, the Futures Game and the Legends and Celebrity Softball Game.

The All-Star Workout Day and Home Run Derby are on July 13, There’s nothing quite like watching your Littel Leager’s eyes light up as they watch MLB’s brightest Stars slamming pitch after pitch out of the yard.

The 2009 MLB All-Star Game will be held on Tuesday, July 14. There will be a Red Carpet Parade beforehand. This year marks the 80th MLB All-Star Game.

2009 MLB All-Star Game tickets are available at TickCo.com.

If you’ve got some racquet-heads in your family and that family trip to the Big Apple happens to be slotted for this summer, you’re going to want to head to Flushing, NY for the 2009 US Open. Admission is free August 25-29 during the Qualifying Tournament, August 25-28, Saturday, Kids Day on August 29 and Sunday’s Open Practice Day on August 30.

The US Open is 14 Days of the greatest tennis played on American soil all year. The best of the best rise to the top in singles and doubles play. If your family follows the fuzzies, this is a summer event they’ll never forget.

2009 US Open Tennis tickets are also available at TickCo.com.

If your family revolves around more horse power and frequent trips to the auto parts store to squeeze a little more juice out of the ol’ Red Dragon, then maybe NASCAR is your ticket to sizzlin’ summer fun.

The Allstate 400 at the Brickyard has to be one of the most classic summer NASCAR events, but you can catch the sultans of speed slinging it left around several venues throughout the summer. With plenty of friendly fans, camping, memorabilia and driving heroes about, a NASCAR weekend can be just what the doctor ordered for a nice change of pace during the break.

You can also find NASCAR tickets for any summer race at TickCo.com.

Our time is up for today. I hope there is something in here that you can use to keep your family away from those summertime blues.
