Don Henley talks of New Album With New Songs for The Eagles
February 1st, 2007 Posted by: Haronandez
Don Henley, the founding member of the legendary classic rock group The Eagles shared some news many have been waiting to hear…a new album with new material! At a recent concert, Don Henley told the crowd that the Eagles were releasing a new ablum with new material, and was hoping to be out in the next 60-90 days. Eagles and Henley spokesman Larry Solters has not commented to confirm or deny the reports.
If a new album is released, it would be the first album with new material for this California rock band since The Long Run came out in 1979. Since then, they have had a numerous amount of “Best Of” albums, including Hell Freezes Over, a live album that was released when the band reunited in 1994.
When I think of a new album, I also think of a possible tour. There is no doubt that if the Eagles tour , this would be the concert event of the year. When the reports come out to confirm the album, make sure to visit Ticketmaster.com or The Eagles official website for any possible tour dates and ticket information. If you are having no luck, try visiting TickCo.com.
I am excited just thinking about the chance to see Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy Schmit together again, singing up new tunes and once again performing hits like Hotel California and Desperado live on stage!
Until next time,
Haronandez

“Look at us baby, up all night, tearing our love apart… ”
A new album would be the biggest news to hit the Top 40 American charts since “Dun nah nah nah nah dun nah dun nah …. beat it, beat it, beat it, dun nunt cha, beat it, beat it, beat it.
Mark - if I can call you Mark - my words an Eagles release with 9-12 new songs would hit platinum in record time. Pun intended - we all have iTunes now.
These guys own the top selling album of all time (U.S.) and a couple of new tunes to add to another Greatest Hits would help to pad their stats.
You know these guys can write. I hope the rumors reach fruition!

To Whom It May Concern: Don Henley and the Eagles are has-beens, as will be the Dixie Chicks(aka Clucks) in a short period of time!

I am looking forward to the new album and I have no idea what to expect.
As a true fan of The Eagles, I have no doubt that I will like/love it.
I guess it will be an honest account of each member’s work or combined and no doubt with The Eagles flavour. It will be themselves enjoying what they do best.

D. Burdin - As the Eagles song goes…..”take your inner child……get over it!
This will be great to hear what directions the Eagles will be headed. Age has added a quaility to their music not all musicians can claim as by the fine tuning of their music from the past.
Not everyone is an Eagle fan but not every one like Rap either…..oh but wait…that’s not singing is it?

Hey D. Burdin,
“To Whom It May Concern: Don Henley and the Eagles are has-beens” What?! And just WHO are YOU and what planet do you live on?!?! Being that the eagles have 5 or 6 albums in the highest selling albums of all time (including the coveted number ONE position on that chart!) and as an act that hasn’t made a new album since 1979 - are one of THE highest grossing LIVE concert draws your moronically out of touch opinion and comment are the acrid spewings of someone not quite playing with a full deck. Further comparing them to the Dixie Chicks (however that happened and whatever relevance that has?1) is indicative of some other ravingly mad agenda. You don’t need to be an Eagles fan but if you can’t offer anything remotely intelligent or nearing reality as commentary why don’t you just keep your head and opinions firmly lodged up your rear where they so obviously reside!

Better a has-been than a never-was;-)

Now those are some big words to be using simply to strike out against free thought. Not everyone has to like the Eagles. That is what keeps us a free society. And, as long as we are offering up opinions here, I think “The Beatles” should be a synonym for overrated.

to whom ever d.burdin is, man you must be very young or just a plain old MORON!!! YOU are degrading one of the best if not the best band of all time, these guys are world class musicians, but i can tell by your comments you have NO clue of what music is about or what music really is. you are probably a rapper. right MORON?

Eagles new CD will be out 10/30/07 next, according to Mr. Don Henley himselves, he told this during a solo concert just a few weeks ago.
Can’t wait to hear some new material from this great band.

The Eagles are, in my opinion, the most talented and awe-inspiring group I’ve ever heard and seen live. I expect D Burdin was very bored that day in February and had nothing better to do than try and wind normal people up (and be sad enough to derive pleasure from it, oh dear). Can’t wait for the new album.

So excited that we have a new CD coming and a date to anticipate it’s arrival. I just introduced my 12 year old grandson to The Eagles. It’s fantastic to be able to share common interests across several generations! THE EAGLES ARE AWESOME!

Gee, that was quick… They did some great stuff once, not a lot, but some. That was a long time ago now. I suspect the new album will be a crashing bore, just like Henley’s last solo effort (and unlike his first three.) They’re rich and domesticated and have lost their edge. Too comfortable - comfort and greatness rarely go hand-in-hand. They should have done what Neil Young and Bob Dylan did all along - just churn out the records, quit agonizing over each one. That might have kept them relevant.
Maybe they’ll prove me wrong, and it’ll be another Hotel California. If not, they needn’t worry. For plenty of people, the celebrity factor is enough, and the nostalga. They will buy it.
