2009 AT&T National PGA Tour, Golf Championships and my lovely Xbox

June 19th, 2009 Posted by: Senorita Queso Tronca

The popularity of the new Tiger Woods video game has swept the nation. My love for golf has been ignited. I have been watching and following the PGA tour religiously this year. I believe this is mostly due to the fact I can’t stop play Tiger Woods PGA tour 10 for Microsoft Xbox. You can even create your own player, using the Xbox camera. This game definitely gets 5 stars.

Ok, enough about the game. Let’s get the scoop on the real deal, PGA Golf!

The PGA Tour is a golf tour comprised of many talented professional golfers. These golfers must go through a difficult round of qualifications in order to be invited on the tour. The season comes to an end with the PGA Championship and over 1 million dollars is awarded to the winner. The PGA tour season usually begins in January and will come an end in November (Fall Series).

For the true hardcore golf fans, you can pick up an All-Week Pass for the PGA Tour Championship and AT&T National tournament. There are going to be many PGA tournaments scheduled for this summer. I will give you a quick run down on the 2 tournaments you can’t miss.

AT&T National PGA Tour Tournament Hosted by Tiger Woods, this tournament will feature over 100 of the best golfers in the world! It will be held at Congressional Country Club (Blue Course) in Bethesda, Maryland. It has been in operation since the early 1900’s and offers luxurious amenities to club members.

Congressional is a drop-dead gorgeous golf club, with stunning view. Don’t let the scenery fool you, this is one seriously challenging golf course! Tiger Woods also donates a portion of the proceeds to the Tiger Woods Foundation. What a good guy!

PGA Championship This year, the PGA Championship will be hosted at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. This course was built with the professional golfer in mind, without a doubt it sets a standard in golf.

Hazeltine National Golf Club was opened in 1962 and has hosted over 10 U.S Open and PGA Tournaments. I will offer you some advice; there is a strict no cell phone rule at this course.

Instead of just sitting in front of my television playing Tiger Woods golf all summer, I am going to venture out into the real world and check out a live PGA tournament. The sunshine and fresh air is a guaranteed good time. If you are a golf fan like I am, it’s going to be an amazing experience.
